Ordering My Transcript

Ordering My Transcript

eTranscripts are the official transcript for the University of Toronto. It is the fastest and most secure way to send or receive an official University of Toronto transcript.

How Do I Order My Transcript?

If you have any questions or concerns about the content of your transcript, please contact your Divisional/Faculty, College, or Campus Registrar’s Office and speak to an Academic Advisor.

Step One

Graduating Students: Records are updated in a batch by Division/Faculty after the convocation ceremony and cannot be updated individually. If you require proof of graduation, contact your Divisional/Faculty, College, or Campus Registrar’s Office to obtain a letter of eligibility to graduate.

Step Two

  • Login to ACORN with your UTORid and under the Transcript & Enrolment Confirmation menu, select Order transcript

Step Three

  • Pay the required $18 CAD per transcript. The accepted methods of payment are Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.

A Pre-Authorization hold will be placed on your credit card by Parchment and could take anywhere from 7-14 business days to clear depending on your financial provider. The final charge will appear on your credit card after the order has been processed.

What is a credit card authorization hold? An authorization or pre-authorization hold occurs when a merchant verifies that sufficient funds are available in your account for an electronic transaction. They put a temporary lock on a certain amount of your balance until you settle the payment.

Step Four

  • Check your order to confirm that you have the correct recipient. Transcripts sent to an incorrect email address or recipient will not be redirected or refunded.

Step Five

  • Download and authenticate.

If you are ordering a transcript on behalf of a student, please see Ordering a Transcript on Behalf of a Student. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

If you have taken courses or programs from one of these units, please contact them directly for a record of your studies.

Graduate students with both an undergraduate and graduate academic record can request either a complete transcript (all graduate and undergraduate academic activities) or a graduate study only transcript. If a graduate studies only transcript is requested, only the academic activities taken through the School of Graduate Studies will appear on the transcript; however, the registration history and graduation summary (found at the top of the transcript) will show all University of Toronto registration history and degrees.

If an exceptional circumstance requires a paper transcript, please contact the University Registrar’s Office through the Service Portal.  Additional supporting documentation will be required outlining why a paper version is required.

Paper transcripts will take two-three days to be processed. They will be sent/delivered via Canada Post regular mail delivery. The University Registrar’s Office is not responsible for transcripts not delivered/lost in transit by postal services.

Processing and Delivery Times

eTranscripts are typically processed and delivered within half an hour. Any transcripts containing academic activities prior to September of 1998 may add two or more business days to process. If you do not have a UTORid, you can create a user account directly on the University of Toronto Parchment Storefront, this process will add additional business days to your transcript order until your identity has been validated through the consent process.

Retention

eTranscript recipients have 20 calendar days to access the document using the secure download link provided in the email sent to them from Parchment Inc. on behalf of the University of Toronto.

After 20 calendar days, the recipient will no longer have access to the document and the requester is required to place a new eTranscript order. No refund will be issued for the original eTranscript order.

eTranscript orders older than 30 calendar days that have not confirmed their consent form will be automatically purged from a student or alumni’s University of Toronto Parchment Storefront account.
