OSAP Deadlines

Full-Time OSAP | The deadline to submit your OSAP application is 60 days before the end of the academic year. The deadline to submit your supporting documents is 40 days before the end of the academic year. Example: If your study period ends on April 28, your application deadline would be February 27. Your deadline to submit all documents would be March 19. |
Part-Time OSAP | If your study period is up to 20 weeks long: you must submit your Part-Time OSAP application and supporting documents no later than 40 days before the end of your study period. If your study period is 21 weeks or longer: you must submit your Part-Time application no later than 60 days before the end of your study period and supporting documents no later than 40 days prior to the end of your study period. |

OSAP for Micro-credentials | Applications must be submitted by the end of the student’s current study period. All required supporting documentation must be received no later than five (5) days after the end of the student’s current study period. Requests for reviews and all required supporting documentation must be received no later than five (5) days after the end of the student’s current study period. |
Summer OSAP | The deadline to submit the Extension application is 40 days before the end of your full-time summer study period. Applications submitted after these deadlines cannot be processed. If you submitted your Summer OSAP Extension application by March 31 and you are eligible for funding, the funds will be released/redirected to outstanding fees within the first two weeks of your summer term. You will receive notifications from OSAP either on paper or on the OSAP Message Centre (depending on your preferences) when there are updates. Undergraduate Examples: St. George Arts and Science: May-June extension (end date June 24, 2024): May 15, 2024 May-August or July-August extension (end date August 23, 2024) : July 14, 2024 |
OSAP Appeals | The deadline for appeals is 40 days before the end of your study period, however, we recommend submitting your appeal as early as possible. Processing time can be 4-8 weeks during peak times. |
Continuation of Interest-Free Status | The earliest you can apply is 15 days before the start of the term. Your application must be received no later than 21 days before the end of the term. |
Re-applying for Full-Time OSAP (OSAP Reinstatement) | The final deadline to submit your request is 40 days before the end of your full-time studies for the term. However, you should provide these forms immediately since you will not receive additional OSAP without this information. |
