WAMIC Foundation Award
The WAMIC Foundation Award is awarded on the basis of academic merit to a third or fourth year student registered in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Arts and Science, in one of the following programs of study: Mineral Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy, Geology, Geophysics, Geological Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or related studies in Earth Sciences. The candidate must have achieved a minimum second-year average of 85% (Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering) or 3.18 GPA (Faculty of Arts and Science).
Eligibility:
- Third or fourth year student registered in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Arts and Science, in one of the following programs of study: Mineral Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy, Geology, Geophysics, Geological Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or related studies in Earth Sciences

How to Apply:
- New for Fall 2024 / Winter 2025: All in-course awards will be awarded in the Fall term. The application will open Monday September 9, 2024 and close on Friday November 1, 2024 at 5 p.m. Only one application is required. You may apply for multiple awards on one U of T Student Award Application Form. Please be sure to check the award criteria before selecting the award.
Notification of decision:
- Award recipients will receive an award letter by email from the University Registrar’s Office, usually one month after the application deadline.
- The award letter will include information on the award payment and should be kept for future reference.
